Education and development in Kenya

Africa Digna is a Barcelona-based foundation that has worked since 2004 with vulnerable and remote communities in Kenya. Its work focuses on three areas: education, health care, and community development, with programs serving Samburu and Maasai communities.

Programs

• Education: School access for Samburu children who might otherwise spend their time tending livestock. The program also includes scholarships.
• Health care: Comprehensive medical care for remote communities without access to health services.
• Development: Projects that support economic self-sufficiency, including assistance for women and solidarity-based loans.

Impact

According to figures published by the foundation, from 2004 through 2024 it invested €2.8 million, reached 85,000 people, and awarded 248 scholarships.
