Fundación Cromo Suma

A nonprofit founded by parents of children with Down syndrome that supports families with psychological assessment and an individualized therapeutic plan.

About Fundación Cromo Suma

Family support after a diagnosis

Fundación Cromo Suma is a nonprofit founded by parents of children with Down syndrome. Its goal is to help families access a comprehensive development plan for their children and provide a support network from the time of diagnosis.

How the process works

Support is organized into four stages:

  • Welcome: an introductory meeting with the founders, a chance to hear the family’s concerns, and an initial information-gathering process.
  • Psychological assessment: review of the child’s medical and developmental history and identification of the family’s concerns and strengths.
  • Team meeting: specialists share information, set goals, and develop a therapeutic plan.
  • Plan review with the family: the team explains the plan, including goals, frequency and duration of services, and assigned specialists.

Areas of support

The foundation focuses on independence, emotional well-being, communication, social skills, body awareness, and inclusion, with family support woven throughout its work.

Location

The foundation is at 17 Ballester Street, in Barcelona’s Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district, 08023 Barcelona.
