Colectic SCCL

Open Technology for Social Change

Colectic SCCL is a nonprofit cooperative based in Barcelona that has worked in free software and open hardware for more than 30 years. It uses technology as a tool for social change, with a focus on participation, learning, and making information and communication technologies accessible to more people.

The cooperative is part of the social and solidarity economy. It works with individuals, groups, and social organizations to reduce the digital divide and promote universal access to technology.

Services

• Education: Workshops for children and young people, training for adults, and community projects connecting organizations with educational spaces.
• Digital participation and social innovation: Facilitating co-creation and collective documentation, administering and training users on Decidim, and evaluating participation spaces.
• Communications: Social media strategy, media relations, video, writing, events, and visibility campaigns.
• Technology: Websites, learning platforms, and communications tools built with open-source software such as Drupal, WordPress, Moodle, Mattermost, and Matomo, including development, hosting, support, migrations, and consulting.

• Ràdio Extramurs: Radio and audiovisual training with free software for groups in El Raval, including mobile radio broadcasts, podcast production, and technical support.
• Canòdrom Technical Office: An open civic lab for technology and democracy, connecting the neighborhood with the wider world through open technology, digital rights, participation, hackfeminism, digital culture, education, and ecology.
• Decidim Som Energia: Support for Som Energia in rethinking and relaunching its participation platform, combining local and in-person participation with digital tools.
• Xarxa Punt TIC Technical Office: Support for a network of 400 digital skills and technology-career spaces across Catalonia, within a Government of Catalonia program with more than 20 years of history.
• Inclusive communications training: Practical training for small businesses through PIMEC on inclusive language, imagery, and media relations.
• Xarxa Òmnia Technical Office: Coordination and support for Òmnia centers working toward social and digital inclusion for people and groups experiencing vulnerability.
• AmbTu Virtual Campus: A WordPress online learning platform for AmbTu, with course management and sales, teacher-student interaction, forums, assessments, and website-integrated reporting.
