Associació Esquitx is a nonprofit based at 4 Plaça Pons i Clerch in Barcelona’s Casc Antic neighborhood. It supports children, teenagers, and families in the area. The organization says it is marking 40 years of activity.

Programs and services

The organization’s projects are organized by age group and type of support:

• La Caseta del Barri (ages 0–3): A parenting support space for families with children ages 0 to 3, where a parent or other primary caregiver takes part with the child.
• Centre Obert LudoEsquitx (ages 3–6): A space for play, personal growth, and social interaction, supporting children’s creative, communication, and relationship skills.
• Centre Obert l'Esquitx (ages 7–14): Social and educational support for children, with individual, group, and family goals.
• Espai Jove (ages 14–18): A space for dialogue and active listening where educators help young people build independence.
• Reforç Educatiu: Support for learning in elementary and secondary school through psychomotor sessions, individual classroom support, and group homework help.
• Suport Familiar i SOAF: Preventive, comprehensive family services offering social, psychological, and educational support.
• Suport Psicològic: Psychotherapy support sessions for children and their primary caregivers using third-generation techniques.
• Activitats d'Estiu: Summer day programs and camps in late June and July, extending the organization’s educational work beyond the usual setting.

The organization says it holds ISO 9001:2015 management system certification and has a child protection policy.

Participation and funding
