About Fundació Sert per la Rehabilitació de Nens amb Discapacitat

Funding rehabilitation and education for children

Fundació Sert per la Rehabilitació de Nens amb Discapacitat is a private nonprofit established in 1976 by Francisco de Sert López, 2nd Count of Sert. It supports organizations and associations working in rehabilitation, education, and well-being for children with physical or intellectual disabilities. The foundation is registered as number 32 with the Government of Catalonia’s Foundations Registry and works across Catalonia.

Activities and Can Vandrell

The foundation allocates all its resources to fully or partially funding projects run by organizations serving children with disabilities. It also launched its own project: converting an old farmhouse into Can Vandrell, a camp house in Sant Feliu de Buixalleu, Girona, near Hostalric in the La Selva region. The educational recreation company Eix Estels now operates the camp house. Through the foundation, Eix Estels has an agreement with the DINCAT Federation of Disability Associations to provide scholarships to families with children with disabilities.
