About Vida Creixent
Faith, friendship, and community in later life
Vida Creixent is a lay Christian movement for retirees and older adults, based in Barcelona. It aims to nurture faith, friendship, and members' active participation in the Church and society. Much of its work takes place in small groups, where members study Christian formation, reflect, and share a review of life.
Method and publications
The movement has its own method, which members are expected to learn and follow. Vida Creixent's Study Commission produces two regular publications:
- Course study guide: updated annually. The website lists guides from the 2020–21 through 2025–26 courses.
- Ressò: a monthly newsletter for reflection, review of life, and prayer among group participants. Issues are archived from the 2015–16 course onward.
Meetings and gatherings
The published calendar includes leaders' meetings and larger gatherings. Its 2026 listings included leaders' meetings on May 7 and June 4, the 38th Interdiocesan Gathering at Montserrat on April 29, and the 2025–26 year-end gathering on June 20. The website also publishes religious articles and reflections.
