International trade and investment

ICC España is the Spanish committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), an organization that works to promote open trade and international investment and helps businesses address the challenges of globalization. Its office is listed at Avenida Diagonal 452, 08006 Barcelona.

Services

• Arbitration: international dispute resolution through the ICC International Court of Arbitration, a leading institution in the field. The 2026 ICC Arbitration Rules are available in Spanish.
• Training: certifications and courses in international trade, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and corporate governance, with new courses scheduled to begin in October 2026.
• Expert guidance: a team answers questions about ICC banking rules and the Incoterms rules, and makes the responses available on its website.
• Publications: an online catalog and store featuring titles such as Incoterms 2020 (Publication 723), the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (Publication 600ES), the International Standard Banking Practice for the Examination of Documents under UCP 600 (ISBP 2023, Publication 821ES), and the ICC Model International Sale Contract (Publication 811ES).

Membership

Membership provides access to high-level business events, information on policy and legal developments, opportunities to contribute at the national and international levels, and member discounts. Members also take part in ICC global commissions.

Institutional work and public resources

The organization publishes news and events and produces its own podcast. Recent topics include ICC's participation in the COP31 climate conference, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Model Law on Electronic Transferable Records (MLETR), ICC Ecoterms on the circular economy, and the ICC Trade Register 2025. Josep Santacreu is president of ICC España; John Denton is secretary general of the global ICC, and Harsh Pati Singhania was elected president of the global ICC.
