Play-based learning in Barcelona

El Trencaclosques is a Barcelona educational project built around innovative, play-based teaching and STEAM activities. It serves three groups: families with children and teens, schools, and businesses.

Programs for families

  • After-school programs: age-based groups such as Mini-Kids (ages 1–3) and Kids (ages 3–5), along with creative arts and applied engineering.
  • Educational and learning support: educational psychology, speech therapy, tutoring and academic support, and psychology services.
  • School-break and early-childhood programs: Casalet, Colegi Splai, and Estimula Baby, with groups named Cucuts (birth to 6 months), Fullets (6–12 months), and Patufets (12–24 months).
  • Family celebrations: activities for weddings, parties, and First Communion celebrations.
  • Parent education and occasional events.

Programs for schools

For schools, El Trencaclosques develops projects, workshops, celebrations, and events; school-break programs; psychological services and consulting; and after-school activities and workshops held at the schools themselves.

Training for businesses

The company offers training intended to strengthen teams and encourage business innovation, group cohesion, and problem-solving. Its approach includes Lego Serious Play, Design Thinking, Lean, and the Six Thinking Hats method.
