Intercultural performance on Barcelona’s streets

Plataforma Cultural AMA organizes cultural events, especially street-art festivals in Barcelona. Its productions bring together circus, dance, music, and other art forms with an intercultural focus.

FIARTS BCN

Its best-known event is FIARTS BCN, the Festival Intercultural de Arte Callejero, which has held several editions. In 2015, performances took place at Centre Cívic Casa del Rellotge and Plaça del Poeta Boscà in La Barceloneta. The 2014 edition was held on the Passeig Marítim de La Barceloneta.

Performers from Spain and abroad have brought a range of disciplines to the festival:

• Circus: Juggling, balancing, acrobatics, clowns, Cyr wheel, and unicycles.
• Dance: Contemporary, African, Colombian folk, tango, and capoeira.
• Music: Percussion, batucada, and rhythmic fusions.

Partners and other events

Collaborators have included Centre Cívic Casa del Rellotge, Centre Cívic Barceloneta, and Barcelona City Council. The organization has also staged Nómadas del Siglo XXI: Realidades Itinerantes de la Metrópolis in 2010 and Contes que porta el vent in 2012.
