La Barraqueta is an independentist community center in Barcelona's Vila de Gràcia neighborhood. It describes itself as a place for politics, work, leisure, and meeting, and as a platform for the daily efforts of independentist left-wing groups and critical neighborhood residents. Groups with a presence there include Arran Gràcia, CUP Gràcia, El Llevat de Gràcia, Endavant Gràcia, Eskapulats, Feministes de Gràcia, and Crida LGBTI.

Activities and services

The center organizes and hosts political education, meetings, cultural events, and traditional community activities. It publishes a calendar and has a room-reservation system. Regular activities include:

• Catalan-language courses
• Ball de bot
• The Vila de Gràcia community choir
• Chess
• Community gatherings, including Foguerons de Gràcia, a calçotada, Fira de la Birra, Festa Major, and Christmas lunch

El Resolís bar and restaurant

The center includes a bar and restaurant that revives the historic Resolís name. Run by the Alioli cooperative, it operates as a tavern serving dishes and tapas at accessible prices.

Hours

• Community center: Monday through Friday, 6–8 p.m.
• El Resolís: Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m.–1:30 p.m. and 5–11 p.m.; Wednesday, 5–11 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m.–midnight; Friday, 10 a.m.–1 a.m.; Saturday, noon–1 a.m.; Sunday, noon–4 p.m.
