Dialogue between Christianity and culture

The Archdiocese of Barcelona founded Fundació Joan Maragall in 1989, with a reach across Catalan-speaking territories. The foundation describes itself as a meeting place for debate and reflection on Christianity and contemporary culture. It received the Creu de Sant Jordi in 2017.

Programs and awards

The foundation organizes public events on cultural and religious questions and offers themed seminars for professionals and intellectuals. Its initiatives include the Premi Joan Maragall and ajuts a la formació, grants for further education.
