About the Center

The Joan Brossa Foundation is a cultural center in Barcelona organized around the Centre de les Arts Lliures (Center for the Free Arts). Its work brings together visual art, live performance, and ideas, with the dual aim of preserving the artist Joan Brossa’s legacy and encouraging contemporary creation and reflection.

Program

The center runs an ongoing program of exhibitions, performances, and activities. Proposals listed on its website include Exposición de variedades antifascistas (Anti-Fascist Variety Exhibition), presented as a contribution to the centenary of Pere Portabella, and L'entrada a un bosc (Entering a Forest), the second exhibition in the Digues, Cosa. Joan Brossa i els poemes objecte (Say, Thing. Joan Brossa and Object Poems) series. The performance program also includes collaborations with festivals such as Grec.

Education

The center is home to Escola Brossa, which offers courses and educational programs, as well as an education program and a summer camp. The website announces new courses at the school.
