A civic center and neighborhood association

Centre Cívic Font de la Guatlla is a municipal neighborhood facility that works alongside Associació de Veïns i Veïnes Font de la Guatlla-Magòria. It organizes cultural, social, and festive events for the neighborhood throughout the year.

A year-round calendar

  • Spring concerts and New Year performances
  • Community gatherings, including a calçotada, a paella meal, Castañada, and “Castaween,” a blend of Castañada and Halloween
  • Programs for older adults, including a Sant Jordi hot chocolate gathering, an older-adult tribute, and Christmas activities
  • Children’s and youth activities, including a Christmas program, children’s painting contest, and magic show
  • Observances including Working Women’s Day, the Day Against Gender-Based Violence, and Mobility Day
  • Un Munt de Mots, an oral storytelling festival
  • The neighborhood Festa Major and its poster contest
  • Talks, cultural outings, and workshops

Neighborhood groups and interests

The association is organized into groups representing older residents, women, children and young people, culture, health, urban planning and mobility, public safety, and other interests. It also has ongoing groups for local artists and chess, as well as a historical documentation center.

Milestones

In 2024, the association marked its 40th anniversary and the civic center its 30th. In 2025, the association reached 41 years and the center 31.
