Castellers Poble Sec is a colla castellera, or human-tower troupe, based in Barcelona's Poble Sec neighborhood. The group builds castells and takes part in festival days and performances of its own and alongside other troupes.

Organization and activities

The troupe has a governing board, a technical team, its own musicians, and a manual for building the pinya, the supporting base of a human tower. It has bylaws and internal rules and keeps records of its performances. Its initiatives include a feminist committee and activities marking its 25th anniversary, which featured commemorative events and a contest.
