A neighborhood cultural center in Nou Barris
Can Basté is a civic center in Barcelona’s Turó de la Peira neighborhood, in the Nou Barris district. Managed by Turó Acció Sociocultural (TASC), it is a local hub for cultural activities and offers quarterly workshops, exhibitions, and programs for people of all ages.

A center for photography
Photography is a particular focus, with exhibitions, workshops, and programs organized around the medium. The Espai Fotogràfic Can Basté (EFCB) includes self-service photo facilities, residencies, and awards and grants, including exhibition and publication grants. The Fòrum Fotogràfic Can Basté is in its 19th edition.
Workshops and shared resources
Workshops cover photography, health and fitness, new technology, dance, arts and creativity, food, music, and languages, with additional programs for children and teens. The center also offers space rentals, photo facilities, and community resources, supporting local artists, groups, and organizations.
