About Barcelona Creativity & Design Foundation
Connecting Barcelona’s creative economy
Barcelona Creativity & Design Foundation (BCDF) is based at Disseny Hub Barcelona and works with the city’s professional and business communities to strengthen the creative economy. It says its goal is to make Barcelona a magnet for creative talent and interdisciplinary innovation.

Public and private partners
The foundation’s board and executive committee include representatives from the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Barcelona City Council, the Government of Catalonia, the Catalan Consortium for Trade, Crafts and Fashion, the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium, Spain’s Ministry of Industry and Tourism, and companies and organizations including Roca Sanitario, Simon, SHAD, Jungle, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, the Architects’ Association of Catalonia, and the Official Association of Interior Designers and Decorators of Catalonia.
Leadership and accountability
Isabel Roig is the director general. The staff also includes leads for communications and institutional relations, sponsorship, promotion, innovation, and cluster management. The foundation publishes activity and financial reports and audit reports covering fiscal years 2019–20 through 2024–25.
