Germans Barri

A Family Produce Business in Barcelona

Germans Barri is a family-owned Barcelona company in the fresh-produce sector. It specializes in buying, storing, preserving, and packing potatoes and onions and selling them through its own commercial network. The company describes itself as one of Europe’s leading businesses in the sector and works with local, Spanish, and imported products.

History

The business began in the 1950s, when the family’s grandparents grew produce in the fields of Argentona and sold it at Barcelona’s Born Vell market. In 1967, the next generation moved to Mercabarna as the market opened. The company says it has served customers for more than 30 years and is now managed by the third generation, the children of Mr. Lluís Barri.
