About Taller de Músics
Music education, creation, and production
Taller de Músics is a Barcelona-based music institution focused on education, creation, production, and the promotion of music. With more than 45 years of history, it describes itself as a pioneer in jazz, flamenco, and modern popular music. Its work is organized across four areas: the Higher School, the Music School, Management & Productions, and the Social Programs Area.
Music programs
The organization offers both accredited and nondegree programs. Its Higher School (ESEM) offers an undergraduate degree in Music, while the Music School provides classes and courses tailored to each student. Its programs include an officially recognized master's degree in Musical Theater Creation and Espai Senior, which has expanded its offerings with a new Gospel Choir. The school describes its approach as artistic guidance that takes students from the classroom to the stage.
Production and artist management
Through Management & Productions, Taller de Músics represents artists and produces music events. It organizes Ciutat Flamenco, whose 2026 edition is scheduled for October 16–25 in Barcelona, and runs opportunities such as Cabal Musical, which selected 12 music projects for the 2025–2027 period. It also invites proposals for projects such as the sound identity of Ciutat Flamenco.
Social and cultural programs
The Social Programs Area develops cultural initiatives. Taller Obert, for example, brought the documentary Música Urgent to CaixaForum+. The organization has an affiliated Fundació Taller de Músics and maintains gender equality plans and protocols.
Performances and online presence
During summer 2026, artists associated with Taller de Músics performed in more than 40 concerts, reflecting the institution's active stage program. It is on Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube.
