Escola Magòria

A family-centered cooperative school

Escola Magòria is a teaching cooperative in Barcelona serving preschool and elementary students. Its cooperative governance includes a governing council, a general assembly, a financial auditor, and school committees, with opportunities for parents to participate in school life.

School programs

The school serves preschool levels I3, I4, and I5, followed by elementary grades organized into lower elementary (first and second grades), middle elementary (third and fourth), and upper elementary (fifth and sixth). It has a psychology department, speech therapy room, academic support room, and library.

School-year activities

Activities include preschool and elementary school trips, workshops, themed afternoons focused on literature, chess, dance, and music, and traditional celebrations such as La Mercè, the autumn chestnut festival, and Carnestoltes. Family events include Dissabte Gran and the track-and-field day, alongside extracurricular programs and the Casal d'Estiu summer program. The school publishes the OPQ student magazine and runs the Magòria Solidària project. In 2026, it celebrates 50 years of Magòria.
