About El Monstre de Paper

A Shared-Care Community in Poble-sec

El Monstre de Paper is a nonprofit association founded in 2010 in Barcelona's Poble-sec neighborhood. Its main activity is a play space for families with children ages 8 months to 3 years, inspired by Waldorf education and other child-led approaches, including the work of Emmi Pikler.

The project operates as a small parenting group, with 11 to 12 families per cycle and five or six children per educator. The space uses natural-material toys, some handmade by the educators, and adapts activities to the abilities children develop.
