Strengthening neighborhood commerce

CooDin, SCCL is a cooperative of local commerce development professionals based in Barcelona. It promotes neighborhood businesses and supports sustainable local and urban development, working with business associations and public agencies.

Services

• Promotion and business development: plans for fairs and local businesses, research, and community needs assessments.
• Cooperation: projects among associations, participatory processes, and coordination of local economic development efforts.
• Additional support: community and retail development services for organizations and public agencies.

Projects and experience

The cooperative has developed projects supporting neighborhood commerce and sustainable local and urban development. Its work ranges from managing business associations to field research on retail, consumer activity, and community development.

Since 2019, CooDin has helped promote and develop complementary payment systems. It is a founding member of Cooperativa Taula de Canvi, which manages the REC local currency, and the Observatori de la Moneda Complementària.
