About Back to Eco
Textiles designed for a circular economy
Back to Eco is a Barcelona company focused on sustainability in the textile industry and the circular economy. Environmental educator Núria Nubiola and biologist Montse Bayén founded it in 2016. Its work brings together environmental education, repair, reuse, and textile waste recycling. From 2017, it operated a store and workshop in central Barcelona where used jeans were turned into aprons, bags, and backpacks; in 2018, it began repairing customers' clothing.
