A neighborhood cooperative bookshop

La Tribu is a literary cooperative bookstore in Barcelona's Sant Andreu neighborhood. It is a cultural space for selling books and encouraging reading, with a community-centered approach.

Books and sections

The collection is organized into several sections:

• Adults: fiction, including novels, graphic novels, poetry, theater, and classics; and nonfiction on pregnancy and parenting, feminism and LGBTQ+ topics, anthropology and social movements, ideas, history and politics, ecology, education, literary studies, life stories, art and photography, film and music, food, and Sant Andreu and Barcelona.
• Children: books for ages 0–3, including tactile, cloth, bath, sound, pop-up, and lift-the-flap books; picture books and early readers; books for ages 6, 8, and 10 and up; and books about insects, animals, dinosaurs, biographies, inventions, coeducation, easy reading, emotions, the human body, science, atlases, the environment, history, folktales, puzzles, activities, art, poetry, comics, and games.
• Teens: books for ages 12 and 14 and up.
• Secondhand: a selection of used books.

The website also features new releases, reviews, and an events calendar.

Languages and events

The bookstore serves customers in Catalan and Spanish, and its collection includes books in both languages. It maintains a calendar of cultural events.
