About the COFB

Col·legi de Farmacèutics de Barcelona (COFB) is the professional organization representing pharmacists in Barcelona province. Its main office is at 64 Carrer de Girona. Its work centers on professional membership and services, continuing education, and public health programs.

Services for pharmacists

Member services include legal guidance, a documentation center, the college’s digital certificate, medication information, a job board, document validation, and IT support. COFB also offers a member directory and a search tool for open pharmacies.

Training and events

The organization holds courses and events throughout the year. Listed programs include “Preparing Personalized Medication Dosage Systems (SPD),” the 38th ÁGORA edition, and the Fòrum Dermoexpert on comprehensive wound care, offered in person and as a webinar. Its continuing education program covers the 2025–26 academic year.

Public health programs

COFB supports Farmaserveis, a care-record platform for Catalonia’s pharmacy network that digitally connects patients with their pharmacies. Services available through the platform include blood-pressure checks, smoking-cessation support, lipid profiles, body measurements, blood-glucose and HbA1c testing, and nutrition guidance. Other programs cover medication safety education, personalized dosage systems, diabetes care, methadone maintenance, and skin care.

Publications and institutional work

COFB publishes press releases, a blog with pharmacy news and recommendations, and a media room with an image library. It also participates in the Infarma conference and partners with health organizations on awareness campaigns.
