Getting to the city

The portal explains how to reach Barakaldo, located 8 km from Bilbao, 75 km from Vitoria, and 115 km from San Sebastián. Metro Line 2 connects Bilbao and Barakaldo in about 16 minutes; Renfe commuter trains make the trip in about 12 minutes. By road, the city connects to the A-1 and A-8 highways, the Ugaldebieta expressway, the Rontegi Bridge, the N-634 Irún–A Coruña road, and regional road CC-639 toward Santurtzi.
