Art, nature, and community in Banyoles

Fundació Lluís Coromina works across three themes: art, nature, and people. Based in Banyoles, Girona province, it runs exhibition and creative spaces and presents cultural, social, and educational activities.

Five spaces

• El Puntal · laboratori de les arts: The Banyoles arts laboratory.
• Espai Eat Art: At Plaça Major 33 in Banyoles; phone +34 972 575 229. Opens Wednesday–Friday, 4–8 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. and 4–8 p.m.
• Espai Isern Dalmau: At 305 Mallorca Street, unit 2, Barcelona; phone +34 934 594 016. Opens Tuesday–Friday, 5–8 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
• Garage · espai socioeducatiu: At 14 Passeig de la Puda in Banyoles; phone +34 972 583 477. From October through May, opens Friday–Sunday, 4:30–8 p.m.; June, July, and September hours are arranged individually, and it closes in August.
• La Perpinyana · espai natura: At 34 Pla de la Perpinyana in Porqueres; phone +34 972 583 477. Opens Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

Exhibitions and collaborations

The foundation presents contemporary art exhibitions and work by young artists, book presentations, concerts, and talks. It collaborates with the Maria Canals International Music Competition, Banyoles’s (a)phònica voice festival, and the Biennal d’Art Jove Glops. Other lines of work include education and integration, social and cultural initiatives, and the Art i Paisatge project.
