Employment and social inclusion

Fundació Badalona Capaç is a Badalona-based nonprofit that promotes employment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It combines direct support—including training, career guidance, and occupational services—with business services through its Caltor Special Employment Center.

Services for businesses and public agencies

Through Caltor, the foundation provides outsourced services to businesses and government agencies, including:

• Cleaning: offices, professional spaces, commercial locations, and streets.
• Gardening: park and garden maintenance, pruning, planting, and work at height.
• Food service: operation of La Cassoleta café at the Casal Cívic de la Gent Gran in Pomar and at Casal Cívic de Sant Adrià, serving breakfast and affordable set menus.
• Support services: reception, administrative work, and concierge services.
• Container maintenance and recovery: repair and reuse of containers to reduce environmental impact.
• Industrial work: packaging, product handling, plastic thermoforming, and industrial assembly for sectors such as automotive and publishing.

The foundation also advises businesses on hiring people with disabilities, creating supported work placements, and complying with Spain's General Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, as part of their corporate social responsibility work.

Social and occupational programs

The organization operates Cointegra, an Occupational Center, and an SPL pre-employment service. It also offers family support, family training, and a work-life balance program. Fundació Badalona Capaç participates in Comunalitat BDN.Sud, a community initiative addressing caregiving and home support, housing, employment integration, and local economic development.

Activity and results

According to the information it publishes, the foundation served 204 people through its employment-integration work and achieved 50 job placements. It also ran six training courses for 60 participants.
