BATeneu

A cultural association in Badalona

BATeneu is a cultural association based in Badalona, near Barcelona, whose work centers on the local arts scene. Its programming has included art exhibitions, book presentations, film screenings, and poetry and music events, often in partnership with other organizations in the city.

Documented activities

• Group exhibitions by women artists from Badalona, including El món avui (2012), Del blanc al negre (2013), and El no res (2014), the last held at El Refugi in Plaça de la Vila.
• Participation in outdoor art fairs, including the second Fira de l'Art al Carrer in Plaça Pompeu Fabra in 2014.
• Cultural tributes, such as an event honoring Ovidi Montllor that included a screening of Furtivos in 2015.
• Literary and musical events, including 2016 presentations of Dormidos en el nunca and La zona muerta by El Club De La Lucha Emocional.

Collaborations

BATeneu has worked with the Fem Cultura platform and Badalona City Council, which provided venues such as El Refugi and the Can Casacuberta Library for exhibitions.
