Precast concrete supports for solar panels

Solarbloc is a line of precast concrete supports for installing photovoltaic panels on roofs and flat surfaces. The patented and registered system is made by Pretensados Durán S.L., a company founded in Badajoz in 1991 that originally specialized in precast concrete. Solarbloc is presented as an alternative to metal framing: it requires no foundation or anchors, which the company says reduces installation time and materials.

Technical features

The supports are made of reinforced, high-density concrete designed to resist chemical and weather exposure. The company says their weight counteracts wind loads on installed panels. It describes installation as immediate: unload the truck, place the supports in their final positions, and secure the panels.

Certifications and environmental management

Pretensados Durán has an ISO 9001:2015 quality-management system covering the design and manufacture of precast concrete products, as well as environmental management certification under ISO 14001:2015. Its R&D department works under the supervision of certification body EQA in accordance with standard 166002:2021. The company says it recycles 100% of the concrete waste it generates and reuses it in new products.

The company exports Solarbloc internationally and offers its website in Spanish, Italian, English, French, and Portuguese. A customer area provides technical information and quote requests. Pretensados Durán also warns of cases in which other manufacturers have copied its technical documentation and recommends checking product origin.
