Custom Manufacturing

In addition to its standard catalog, Siero Lam makes orders to customers’ specifications for dimensions, wood types, and quantities. It also keeps standard sizes in stock to support shorter lead times and purchases timber.

Sustainability and Certifications

The company applies circular-economy and sustainable-forest-management principles and holds FSC® and PEFC certifications. It makes biomass pellets from chestnut wood and uses solar power from photovoltaic installations to cover a substantial share of its energy consumption. It also measures and works to reduce its carbon footprint.

Innovation

Siero Lam has implemented a manufacturing execution system (MES) based on Lean Manufacturing to digitize and automate production. It has also taken part in publicly funded innovation projects involving high-performance carpentry for energy-efficient buildings and the optimization of hydrothermal tannin extraction from industrial chestnut waste.

Recognition

In July 2026, the company received the 31st Asturmanager Award, recognizing Grupo Siero’s more than century-long history.
