Reusable food packaging

Envases CUI is a Spanish manufacturer specializing in reusable injection-molded polypropylene containers for food. All of its production takes place in Spain, at its facility in Arganda del Rey, Madrid, which has more than 10,000 square meters of usable production and storage space, 25 production lines, and a staff of 45.

Products

The catalog is designed for the hospitality and food-service industries and includes:

• Hinged square containers with safety closures (Family 1C).
• Round tubs with separate lids and airtight tubs with safety closures (Families 4P and S).
• Hinged oval containers, including rotisserie-chicken packaging (Family 6V).
• Rectangular containers with separate lids, hinged containers for sliced foods, and containers for heat sealing (Families CR, 5R, 7L, and 9B).
• Gastronorm pans and divided trays (Families 8G and COMP).
• Sushi containers, bubble tea cups, and round salad bowls with separate lids.
• Custom sizes for specific uses.

All containers are reusable, food-safe, free of BPA and phthalates, and suitable for microwave and dishwasher use.

Quality and certifications

The company is certified under the BRCGS Packaging Materials food-safety quality management system, audited by AENOR. Implementation began in 2014, and the certificate was issued in 2015. Its products have undergone testing and meet legal requirements for food contact.

History and capabilities

The company was founded in 1996 as Embalajes Cui, S.L., initially working in thermoforming. In 2001, it invested in polypropylene injection-molding equipment, and in 2006 it formed Envases Cui, S.L., with a focus on injection-molded containers. In 2008, it expanded its main warehouse to more than 5,500 square meters. In 2020, it acquired neighboring buildings, bringing its facilities to more than 10,000 square meters. In 2022, it installed more than 2,600 square meters of solar panels, with a generating capacity of 539.63 kWp.

Distribution and customers

Envases CUI has a domestic distributor network, a presence in several European countries, and works with major retailers and food companies. Its containers are intended for restaurants, takeout chains, supermarkets, catering, and delivery businesses.
