Triturados Cálcicos, S.A. (TRICALSA) is a family-owned company with entirely Spanish capital, founded on February 22, 1983. It extracts, crushes, and micronizes natural calcium carbonate. Its plant and offices are in Arganda del Rey, Madrid.

Certifications and quality

TRICALSA was the first company in Spain to earn GMP+ certification for manufacturing ground natural calcium carbonate. It has held ISO 9001 certification since 2002, as well as ISO 14001 and the IQNet Certified Management System seal. Its other credentials include:

• CE marking under EN 13043:2002, EN 13043:2002/AC:2004, EN 13139:2002, and EN 12620:2002+A1:2008 for mortars, concrete, and bituminous products
• GMP+ certification for feed safety
• UNE-EN 1018:2013+A1:2015 for chemicals used in drinking-water treatment
• Animal Feed Industry Health Register number ESP-2800086

The company has its own laboratory for quality control and research, development, and innovation.
