Rice from the Ebro Delta

La Cámara Arrocera del Montsià is a cooperative based in Amposta, Tarragona, growing, processing, and distributing rice protected by the Delta de l'Ebre Protected Designation of Origin. Its work spans the entire supply chain, from cultivating fields in the Ebro Delta to selling the finished product.

Products and brands

The cooperative sells its rice under three brands:

• Arroz Montsià
• Arroz Delta
• Arroz Alcala

All of its rice is produced by cooperative members using controlled farming methods, according to the cooperative.

Quality and certification

The company holds several quality certifications as part of its focus on innovation and continuous improvement. Its main production designation is the Delta de l'Ebre Protected Designation of Origin.

Organization and recent activity

The cooperative brings together a team with different roles in rice production and processing. In January 2026, it applied for a grant to modernize its Amposta plant; in July 2025, it received a grant under that year’s funding program.
