El Rincón de Yebra

A waterfront Almería restaurant with made-to-order rice dishes, a broad seafood selection, and wines from the region.

About El Rincón de Yebra

A menu built around the rice pot and the sea

At El Rincón de Yebra, rice is meant to anchor the meal, not simply fill a corner of the menu. The restaurant’s current list ranges from mixed and seafood rice to black rice and octopus rice; each is prepared to order and intended for sharing, so it rewards a little planning rather than an improvised solo stop.

The seafood selection gives diners plenty of ways to continue: fried or grilled squid, rock red mullet, anchovies, clams, cod, and the catch of the day sit alongside Galician-style octopus and seasonal vegetable dishes. There is also a substantial meat section, but the clearest sense of place comes from the seafood and rice, followed by wines that include bottles from Almería as well as familiar Spanish regions. The result is a broad, unhurried meal suited to a long lunch by the waterfront.
