Dacsa Group is a Spanish industrial group producing food ingredients across three business areas: rice milling, corn milling, and Food Solutions. The company describes itself as Europe’s leading dry-corn miller in its sectors and a major rice producer in Spain and Portugal, with well-known rice brands.

History and expansion

The group traces its origins to Maicerías, S.A., a corn mill founded in 1968. In 1982, it expanded into rice milling. It has since grown through acquisitions and partnerships: a corn mill in La Roda, Albacete, in 1991; a mill in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Seville, in 2004; the 2005 acquisition of a mill in Liverpool, United Kingdom, and creation of Dacsa Limited; the creation of Molendum Ingredients; a 50% stake in Atlantic Meals in Portugal in 2015; a new Dacsa Polska extrusion plant in 2016; a 25% stake in Sinblat Alimentación Saludable in 2017; a 60/40 joint venture with Bunge in Ukraine in 2018; and full ownership of Dacsa Atlantic in 2020.

Quality and certifications

The company says it holds international food-safety and quality certifications and undergoes periodic external audits on ethics and corporate social responsibility. It also participates in the United Nations Global Compact.
