Cisternas Hurtrans is a family-owned company based in Pinoso, Alicante, specializing in road transportation of food-grade liquids by tanker. Its history dates to 1960, when Laureano Hurtado began operating as an independent carrier; HURTRANS was incorporated in 1994. In 1998, it opened a tanker-washing facility for its fleet and other customers. In 2000, it established Tank Hurt and expanded into transporting juices and grape must.

Fleet and equipment

The company operates more than 150 tankers equipped to transport food-grade liquids. The vehicles are designed to carry greater volumes while reducing tare weight, improving loading and unloading efficiency and lowering costs. All comply with the A.T.P. agreement and carry the permanent marking “Food-grade liquids only” in three languages. Many are single-compartment tankers with surge-control baffles to prevent agitation and maintain product consistency, and they use lobe pumps to speed up operations.

Hurtrans serves all of Spain and operates within the European Union and internationally. Its main European countries of origin, destination, and transit include Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Denmark, and Switzerland.

Customers

The company serves food-sector businesses producing juice, milk, wine, oils, glucose, beer, shortening, honey, and chocolate.
