Autoridad Portuaria de Alicante is a public agency under Puertos del Estado, responsible for managing the Port of Alicante, one of Spain’s 46 ports of general interest. Its headquarters are at Avenida de Perfecto Palacio de la Fuente 3, 03001 Alicante.

Port operations and traffic

The port combines tourism, recreation, and sports with industrial activity and cargo traffic. Published statistics show total traffic of 2,906,944 metric tons in 2025, including 1,430,372 tons of dry bulk, 193,416 TEUs (20-foot container units), and 444,703 cruise and regular-line passengers.

The infrastructure includes a modern container terminal, docks, and logistics areas. The port describes itself as an intermodal hub connected by rail, highway, and airport to the rest of the Iberian Peninsula and Europe.
