A family construction company founded in 1966

Gruas Constructora is a family-owned company based in Alguaire, Lleida, founded in 1966. It began in earthmoving and transportation and shifted toward public works in 1982, when it became a corporation and began bidding on public contracts. In 1985, it received state contractor classification. The company was registered with the Lleida Industry office in 1977 under number 25/12058.

It now employs more than 190 people and operates offices in Lleida, Barcelona, and Tarragona, covering much of Catalonia. Its production and logistics centers are in Barcelona, Albesa, Pla de Santa Maria, and Les Terres de l’Ebre.

Construction and infrastructure work

• Construction: projects delivered by specialist engineering teams from planning through completion.

In-house fleet and production resources

The company provides integrated services with its own fleet of vehicles and construction equipment for projects, maintenance, services, and transportation. Its equipment includes aggregate extraction and sorting facilities; asphalt-mixture production and paving machinery; asphalt-spraying equipment; earthmoving machinery; and specialized surveying tools.

Selected projects and recognition

Projects cited by the company include Barcelona’s first pedestrian escalator ramp, on Carrer de la Poesia in Montbau; the new cover over the Ronda de Dalt; the renovation of Carrer d’Alfons el Magnànim; Barcelona’s Superilles program; and the Comprehensive Care Center. In November 2025, it received the 2025 Cambra Award for Innovation and Sustainability from the Reus Chamber of Commerce.
