About TECPESA

Pipeline work without shutting down flow

TECPESA specializes in hot tapping, line stopping, and pipeline interventions for the energy industry. Its core work involves maintaining, repairing, and replacing sections of fluid pipelines without stopping the flow, helping avoid shutdowns and interruptions. The company also designs and manufactures the equipment and accessories needed for this work.

Services

  • Hot tapping: cutting into an operating pipeline through a valve or tee, with diameters from 1/2 to 72 inches, pressures up to 100 bar, and temperatures up to 400°C, in materials such as polyethylene and stainless steel.
  • Line stopping: isolating pipelines using single to quadruple configurations, with or without a bypass. Options range from one-inch low-pressure balloon systems to line-stop heads for low, medium, and high pressures.
  • Tecpesa RED: a patented line-stop system for high temperatures up to 400°C, with a double seal and aerospace-industry materials adapted for the energy sector.
  • Maintenance: preventive inspections, scheduled maintenance, and complete equipment disassembly at service centers.
  • Training: operating courses for supplied equipment, held at TECPESA facilities or at the customer's site.
  • Custom services: product and service development in collaboration with customers' technical departments.

Equipment and accessories

TECPESA designs and manufactures hot-tapping and line-stopping equipment and accessories, including tapping machines, hydraulic line-stop cylinders, slim valves, line-stop heads, hydraulic power units, housings, adapters, and tools. Each product is supplied with its corresponding certificates, and quality control follows customer specifications and applicable regulations.
