Electronic assembly equipment and support

AB Electronic Devices was founded in April 2001 and is headquartered in Ajalvir, Madrid, with a laboratory and demonstration center in Cerdanyola del Vallès, Barcelona. It is the exclusive distributor in the Iberian Peninsula of equipment and products for assembling SMD and THT electronic components for the electronics industry. A 2024 corporate video lists a team of 24 people.

Equipment and supplies

The company sells equipment and materials for printed circuit board assembly across several categories:

• SMD and THT assembly: coating and dispensing, depaneling, board handling, SMD and THT ovens, THT component insertion, X-ray inspection, PCB cleaning, laser marking, microelectronics, SMT pick-and-place, ESD racks, inline X-ray, PCB screen printing, optical inspection, SMD soldering, solder-paste inspection (SPI), and automated testing.
• Bench equipment: Optilia cameras, component counters, temperature and humidity controls, manual PCB depaneling, soldering and desoldering stations, temperature-profile meters, component forming, soldering tips, PCB repair, ESD vacuum sealers, and PCB holders.
• Consumables: soldering auxiliaries and coatings, soldering flux, vapor-phase Galden, cleaning products, peelable solder mask, solder paste, dispensing paste, thermal paste for PCBs, potting resins, soldering irons, and solder wire.
• Antistatic materials, workstations, and tools.
• Quality control: ionic contamination meters, solderability testers, and SIR and CAF testing.
• SMD courses.

Brands and featured systems

AB Electronic Devices distributes internationally recognized brands. Featured products include the Kurtz Ersa VERSAFLOW FIVE selective soldering system; Aurotek AUI 3000LM UCSL, AUI 6000, and AUO 3000 E equipment; the fully automatic AUI 5000/5000C PCB separator; and the PVA DELTA 6 selective coating and dispensing system. The company identifies itself as a Kurtz Ersa sales and technical-service partner.

Technical service and coverage

The in-house technical team has more than 30 years of experience, with a response commitment of up to 24 hours and remote support through TeamViewer. Coverage includes Spain and Portugal, including Madrid, the Valencian Community, Castile-La Mancha, Murcia, Portugal, the Balearic Islands, and the Canary Islands. The company hosts technical events such as Tech Days, Inspection Day, and Open Days and participates in trade shows including Productronica and FEINDEF.
