Backer-Facsa manufactures industrial electric heating elements at two production plants in Spain: the Heating Elements Division in Aiguafreda, Barcelona, and the Resistors Division in Llanera, Asturias. It is part of the Backer Group, which describes itself as a global leader in industrial heating elements, with 24 production plants and more than 30 companies worldwide.
