About the founder
Humux was created by Mario Toribio Bravo, an environmental scientist, vermiculture practitioner, master composter, and environmental educator. The website says he has spent 10 years teaching home-composting workshops and designing vermiculture areas in different climates and countries.
Project information
The website says the Humux method can turn 1,000 metric tons of waste into 600 metric tons of worm castings, a volume it equates with regenerating 120 hectares of soil, reducing CO₂, saving water, and replacing chemical fertilizers. It also describes collaborations with companies and organizations across several sectors and an appearance on Cadena SER.
