Francisco Álvarez

Writer and digital creative in Tenerife

Francisco J. Álvarez Socas, born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 1987, is a freelance writer and web designer based in Adeje, in southern Tenerife. He works in graphic and website design under the name Select Seven.

Background

• He began writing stories in 2002.
• From 2007 to 2009, he studied systems administration in a higher-level vocational program.
• He has worked professionally as an IT technician since 2009.
• Since 2015, he has focused on web design and digital platform development.
• He published his first book in 2014.

Books

His debut was La esencia de la misión I: Los Comienzos (The Essence of the Mission I: The Beginning), followed by El Servicio de Inteligencia Democrático (The Democratic Intelligence Service) and El mensajero del averno (The Messenger from the Underworld). These three books are part of a planned four-book series; the fourth installment has not yet been published.

Writing and digital services

Through Select Seven, he offers project concepts and strategy, writing and storytelling, audiovisual and sound production, and website design and development. He also offers guidance to people facing abusive or usurious practices in financial and digital settings, an area he says he is still developing.
