What DEM is

Dónde Estudiar Medicina, or DEM, advises Spanish-speaking applicants, primarily from Spain, who are considering medical study at a German university. The program it promotes is taught in English and includes professional German-language training. DEM says the admission process evaluates motivation and commitment rather than relying solely on Spain's university entrance cutoff score.

The medical program in Germany

The partner university is described as offering a six-year, 360-ECTS program with 150 places and 5,500 square meters of teaching space. DEM says the degree follows the Bologna framework and is recognized within the European Union. Facilities include science laboratories and a digital 3D anatomy table, and teaching staff are described as internationally active researchers.

Clinical placements in German hospitals begin in the third year, according to DEM. The company also assists graduates exploring specialist training in Germany, Switzerland or Austria, where the pathway follows the rules of the destination country rather than Spain's MIR examination.

Premedical courses

The university offered two English-language science preparation formats in 2026:

• A three-week course, held July 13–31, with eight hours a day in biology, physics and chemistry.
• A 12-week course, held May 4–July 24, with eight hours a day in biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, biochemistry and anatomy, among other subjects.

Those 2026 sessions have ended. DEM described the courses as recommended preparation rather than a formal admission requirement; future dates require a new university announcement.

DEM supports applications, documents, recognition of previous qualifications and relocation to Germany. It also offers professional German instruction through immersion courses and hospital placements.
