About Jade Mountain Resort
Jade Mountain Resort, organic architecture facing the Pitons
Jade Mountain Resort is a luxury property located on the Caribbean coast of St. Lucia, within the 600-acre beachfront estate of Anse Chastanet. The resort presents itself as a collection of organic architecture conceived by architect-owner Nick Troubetzkoy, integrated into the island's natural surroundings and overlooking the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea, an area designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Sanctuaries with private infinity pools
The accommodations are organized into units called sanctuaries, accessed via individual bridges. Each sanctuary features a wall open to the outdoors that blurs the line between inside and outside, and each integrates a bedroom, living area, and, in 24 of them, a large private infinity pool. The offering includes the Galaxy Sanctuary, Sun Sanctuary, Moon Sanctuary, Star Sanctuary, and Sky Sanctuary categories; according to the catalog, the latter does not have a private pool. The stone columns of the structures rise above the landscape and allow unobstructed views of the Pitons and the Caribbean.
Dining and culinary experiences
The Jade Mountain Club offers the culinary concept known as Jade Cuisine, created by James Beard Award-winning Chef Allen Susser and his team. The restaurant operates al fresco beside an infinity pool, and above it is the Celestial Terrace, a space for sunset cocktails and stargazing. The culinary experience is rounded out with cooking classes, a chocolate lab, and visits to the organic farm where the ingredients are sourced. The resort also offers private dining and culinary events.
Wellness and activities
The boutique spa and the Kai en Ciel fitness studio offer spa services, which can also be enjoyed in the privacy of your own sanctuary. The program includes daily sunrise and sunset yoga sessions. Available activities include hiking, kayaking, mountain biking on jungle trails, watersports, scuba diving, and island excursions, with visits to the rainforest, botanical gardens, and the Sulphur Springs. The concierge team organizes these guided outings.
Access to Anse Chastanet and additional activities
Guests of Jade Mountain have access to the facilities of its sister resort, Anse Chastanet, located next to it. There they can use several beach and hillside restaurants, including a vegan option, as well as bars, boutiques, and an art gallery. The two properties share two secluded Caribbean beaches, accessible on foot or via a transfer of about two minutes. Anse Chastanet has more than 12 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking, and a PADI 5 Star dive center with shore snorkeling.
Weddings, honeymoons, and celebrations
The resort presents itself as a setting for weddings, honeymoons, anniversaries, and vow renewals. Its offering in this area includes various ceremony locations, wedding packages, wedding groups, menus and catering, as well as gifts. The butler service, called major domos, arranges personalized excursions and private in-suite dining, among other attentions.
Sustainability and recognition
Jade Mountain states that it applies sustainability and regenerative principles in its daily operations, with environmentally friendly practices and community initiatives aimed at preserving the environment of St. Lucia. The resort presents itself as the first hotel in the Caribbean to obtain LEED Gold certification.
