About BodyHoliday
BodyHoliday, an all-inclusive wellness resort in Saint Lucia
BodyHoliday is an all-inclusive wellness resort set on a secluded beach in Saint Lucia, surrounded by tropical gardens. Its offering combines accommodation, dining, sports activities and a programme of treatments and therapies included in the rate. The company presents itself as a destination designed for those seeking a transformative trip and an antidote to the pressures of modern life.
The resort describes itself as the only one that brings together the advantages of an active beach holiday with a wide range of activities, body treatments and opportunities for exploration. Its motto, “Give us your body for a week, and we’ll give you back your mind”, sums up that philosophy of rest and recovery.
Accommodation: rooms, suites and villas
The accommodation offering is organised into rooms with garden views, ocean view rooms, ocean front rooms, suites and private villas. The site describes these categories as a tropical oasis within the resort.
Dining and meeting places
The resort has six restaurants. The dining offering includes the East-West fusion restaurant TAO, with a wine-paired tasting menu at Cariblue Windows. Cariblue serves breakfast, buffet lunches and dinners with an international menu. The Wellness Cafe and the Pavilion Grill offer more casual options. In addition, guests can enjoy the I-TAL experience, based on the Rastafarian philosophy of producing and preparing organic food, which includes a visit to an organic garden and an I-TAL lunch cooked by the guest themselves.
The resort also has various spaces for socialising, designed to foster camaraderie among guests.
Wellness programme and treatments
The all-inclusive rate includes a one-hour therapeutic treatment daily for each full day of stay, as well as meditation, tai chi and a full yoga programme. The Wellness Clinic houses a better-aging clinic focused on diagnostic analysis to improve quality of life.
With practitioners from all over the world, the resort offers specialist treatments not included in the rate, such as holistic therapies targeting specific needs, acupuncture and Bhutanese treatments. The Pavitra centre, an authentic Ayurvedic pavilion, is the jewel in the crown with a range of Ayurvedic treatments. The restorative beauty area, called the “Skin Clinic”, uses skin care formulas from around the world, including Living West Indies from Saint Lucia, CACI and iS Clinical, with an extensive list of facial treatments designed to refresh, revitalise and firm the skin, restoring its natural glow.
The resort also organises specialised retreats and wellness programmes, and its team helps guests design a tailored programme.
Exercise, sports and activities
The fitness programme is led by the “BodyGuards” and includes endless classes to stay in shape. BodyHoliday has its own PADI-accredited dive centre, offering courses and one- and two-tank dives for experienced divers; those already certified must bring their PADI card, and those who want to start from scratch can train there.
On land, guests can practise golf, tennis and archery, among other activities. On the water, they can choose waterskiing, windsurfing, wakeboarding and kayaking. The resort’s Sailing Club and School is ASA accredited and offers sailing courses and outings. BodyYoga specialises in yoga and other practices that help improve discipline, patience, focus and concentration.
Theme months and special programmes
BodyHoliday organises theme months with big names in sport, dance and yoga. Each theme includes dedicated classes led by visiting athletes, motivational talks and dinners with the champions. The theme month calendar includes Spring Sail, Yoga Masterclass, SwimFit, Spring WellFit, Jive June, WellFit Tribes, September Solos, Octoba Yoga, WellFit with Julien and Pre Christmas Restorative Break.
The Spring Sail programme runs from 27 March to 7 April and allows guests to learn from the world’s best sailors, with introductory classes for beginners and competitive regattas for the more experienced. Octoba Yoga takes place from 30 September to 25 October and transforms the resort into a yoga retreat. September Solos runs from 28 August to 26 September 2026 and is designed to offer the best elements of health. Octoba Yoga extends from 28 September to 31 October 2026.
History and origin of the concept
The BodyHoliday concept was designed more than twenty years ago, before the wellness industry reached its current popularity. At the time, a spa within a hotel was uncommon and wellness centres were perceived as strange institutions, often located in the European Alps. The first guests, in the early 1990s, were the so-called “BabyBoomers”, a generally successful generation for whom unhealthy lifestyles were beginning to take their toll and who were looking for ways to compensate for past excesses. BodyHoliday presented itself as the perfect antidote, since it was not a “fat farm”, but had facilities and expertise beyond those of a conventional resort to provide the necessary services.
Personalisation and booking tools
The resort offers a web app, called webroom, so that guests with a confirmed booking can plan their stay before arriving. The tool allows them to register, create the webroom and access it to organise activities and make better use of their time at the destination.
