How to attend Tulsa Community College: admission, tuition, English and campuses

A practical guide to open admission, 2026–27 tuition, scholarships, English pathways and TCC’s four Tulsa campuses.

p>At Tulsa Community College (TCC), choosing a campus is part of choosing a program. Metro sits downtown and concentrates health-science facilities and student services; Northeast is known for engineering, emergency services and language support; Southeast adds a performing-arts center and a wide mix of business and creative courses; West is the place to look for veterinary technology and child-development training. TCC began in 1970 as Tulsa Junior College with about 2,800 students at one downtown campus. It adopted its current name in 1996 and now says it serves more than 20,000 students each year across four main campuses.

The college’s open-admission policy means applicants do not need a minimum GPA or test score to apply, but admission to TCC is different from admission to a selective program such as nursing or veterinary technology. A typical associate degree is planned over roughly two years of full-time study, while certificates and professional pathways can be shorter or longer. Course sequencing, prerequisites, clinical placements and class availability change the timeline. Use the catalog and speak with an advisor before treating a program title as a guaranteed graduation date.

How to apply and what the college asks for

TCC’s application is free and the college says it usually takes about 15 minutes; processing may take up to seven days. After applying, check the personal email address used in the application for a student ID, sign in to MyTCC and monitor the college email account. The checklist asks students to make their high-school completion record official, provide college transcripts if they have attended another institution, and submit ACT or SAT results or placement-test scores when applicable. TCC says its course-placement tests are free. Students can start a first term before submitting every prior-education record, but Oklahoma rules require documentation within the first nine college credits; unresolved curricular or academic deficiencies must be addressed within the first 24 credits to avoid a registration hold. First-time degree-seeking students must attend New Student Orientation, meet an advisor and complete enrollment steps. Start the TCC application and current checklist.

Published tuition and the charges beyond it

For 2026–27, TCC lists tuition at $116.55 per credit hour for Oklahoma residents and $341.55 for non-Oklahoma residents. At 30 credits, tuition alone comes to $3,496.50 for an Oklahoma resident or $10,246.50 for a nonresident. Those figures do not include mandatory fees, books, supplies, course-specific lab costs or living expenses. The published schedule lists per-credit facility, library, technology, activity, student-center and other charges; parking is $1.50 per credit up to $18, and the student ID is $5 each semester. Online and blended classes have separate delivery fees. A course-by-course estimate is more useful than multiplying tuition alone, especially in health and technical programs. Review TCC’s 2026–27 tuition and fee schedule.

Financial aid, local scholarships and state support

Completing the FAFSA is the college’s first recommendation for federal grants and loans; TCC’s federal school code is 009763. The same form is required for many college awards, including Tulsa Achieves. Eligible recent high-school graduates who live in Tulsa County may qualify for that scholarship, while TCC Advantage serves eligible incoming students outside Tulsa County who attended one of four listed high schools. Oklahoma’s Promise and the Oklahoma Resident Tuition Waiver are separate state programs with their own eligibility and deadlines; TCC lists the latter as covering up to $700 per semester, subject to available funds and priority rules. The TCC Foundation also offers program-specific and general scholarships. Admission, FAFSA and each scholarship application are separate steps, so check the award’s current year, residency and academic conditions. Compare TCC scholarships and waivers.

English support before a degree program

Students who need more English have more than one route, and the options are not interchangeable. TCC’s Intensive English Program (IEP) is an academic pathway for students who need to meet the college’s English-proficiency standard; the current admission page lists accepted score bands and five courses—reading, listening, writing, grammar and speaking—completed within a 12-week study period. The ESL Center is based in room SU109 of the Student Union at Northeast Campus, where staff provide program information and enrollment guidance. TCC also publishes an ESL enrollment guide with schedules and registration details. Separately, the college library lists community partners offering free adult English classes around the metro; those noncredit classes are not the same as IEP or credit-bearing courses. Ask the ESL Center which placement, tuition and entry route fits your status. See TCC’s ESL admission and IEP information.

Programs, credits and realistic timelines

TCC’s catalog spans transfer-oriented associate degrees, applied associate degrees, certificates, health programs, technical fields, business, liberal arts and continuing education. A two-year associate plan is a common full-time pace, but each course map sets the actual credit total and prerequisites. Nursing offers a Traditional Track for students new to the field and a Career Mobility Track for licensed practical nurses and paramedics. The college describes the traditional nursing sequence as four semesters after prerequisite work—five semesters when the prerequisite term is counted—and the career-mobility sequence as three semesters; both require a separate competitive application. Veterinary Technology is a West Campus associate degree that TCC describes as a full-time, five-semester program, with a limited annual cohort and its own application packet. Students interested in a shorter job credential should compare current certificates and workforce courses rather than assume every program takes two years. Browse TCC programs and course pathways.

Four campuses, four distinct starting points

Metro Campus, at 909 S. Boston Ave., puts admissions, advising, financial aid, a library and bookstore close to downtown. The college also locates nursing and allied-health facilities, a dental-hygiene clinic and a physical-therapy clinic there. Northeast Campus, at 3727 E. Apache St., brings together engineering and emergency-services training, the Tulsa Fire Safety Training Center, the Resource Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, ESL support, a fitness center and library. Southeast Campus, at 10300 E. 81st St. near Highway 169, is the largest campus and includes a Student Success and Career Center, library and the VanTrease Performing Arts Center for Education. West Campus, at 7505 W. 41st St. S. between Tulsa and Sand Springs, houses veterinary technology and child-development pathways alongside student-support services. These are the four main campuses in the college’s current location directory; check a specific course before travelling because instruction and services can be assigned to different sites.

Getting between home, work and campus

TCC’s student transportation program, TCC Rides Free, gives eligible current students unlimited rides on the MetroLink Tulsa bus network through the GoPass app or a college-issued card. Students enroll in person at a campus Student Life office; visitors and accompanying family members pay the regular fare. The Metro Campus is downtown near the 11th Street/Route 66 corridor. The Southeast Campus is reached from Highway 169, while the Northeast and West campuses serve different sides of the city. Every campus page links to its driving directions and parking map; the published 2026–27 schedule also lists a capped per-credit parking charge. Use the MetroLink trip planner and the course schedule together: the best campus for a program is not always the closest one, and course locations can change by term.

Bottom line
