Maskay guide

Which Peruvian consulate serves Denver, and how should you prepare for a visit?

The Denver office lists passport, DNI, civil-registration and notarial services for eight western and Great Plains states. We explain its current jurisdiction and how to distinguish a mobile visit from permanent service.

The Consulate General of Peru in Denver is at 6795 East Tennessee Avenue, Suite 550, Denver, CO 80224. The office lists +1 303 355 8555, conperdenver@consuladoperu.net and in-person service Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Its emergency number is listed separately; the office says that line is for urgent situations rather than routine inquiries.

Denver serves eight states according to the consular information for Peru’s 2026 general election: Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming. The date matters: an older consular-circumscription document still lists Utah, but Supreme Resolution 143-2023-RE elevated Peru’s Salt Lake City office to a Consulate General with jurisdiction over that state. Utah residents should start with that office rather than Denver, even if they encounter an outdated directory.

Denver lists biometric passports for adults and minors, emergency travel documents and other consular services, including DNI, civil registration, notarial procedures and assistance. Its passport page explains that validity depends on age: ten years for adults, five years for teenagers aged 12–17 and three years for children under 12. Applicants should check the page for their specific case for requirements, fees, appointments and rules for legal representatives; the general menu does not replace those instructions.

The region’s geography makes it especially useful to distinguish a permanent office from a mobile consular visit. In March 2026, Peru’s Foreign Ministry reported that Denver held a two-day session in Albuquerque, with passport issuance, DNI procedures and birth registrations. That event shows the consulate has brought services to New Mexico, but it has already taken place and does not itself provide future dates. Residents in other states should wait for an official notice with the location, capacity, requirements and registration process.

We reviewed the Google Maps listing at 6795 E Tennessee Avenue that matches the office’s contact details. Visible comments include positive accounts of guidance, courteous service and procedures completed sooner than expected; other users describe uncertainty about requirements or communication. These are personal experiences, not a measure of every service. For a specific appointment, keep the confirmation email, review the procedure instructions and avoid relying on one review to estimate processing times.

The office publishes a general email and a contact page; urgent matters use a different telephone number. Before visiting, confirm that your state belongs to Denver—or Salt Lake City for Utah—check the applicant’s documents and review public holidays. In-person hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. do not mean every procedure is available without an appointment or throughout that entire window.

The Consulate General of Peru in Denver profile brings together the office, contacts, jurisdiction, services and visitor comments. The official page for each procedure remains the final reference for requirements and availability.

Guide checked on October 18, 2026 against official Peruvian sources and the Google Maps listing matching the Denver address. Jurisdiction, hours, procedures and fees may change; confirm details on the official procedure page before travelling. The rating and review count are stored in structured data, not repeated in the profile text.

Bottom line

Residents of Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota or Wyoming can start with the Consulate General in Denver. Utah residents should check Salt Lake City. In either case, confirm the procedure, appointment and documents with the assigned office before travelling.
