Monterey Peninsula College Foundation will open its 2027–28 application on December 1, 2026, and expects to close it in early March; the exact date had not yet been posted at review. The application covers incoming, current, dual-enrollment, and transfer students. The foundation offers a range of awards rather than one amount for every student.
General eligibility includes taking at least one MPC class in spring or planning at least one in fall. This can serve incoming and continuing students, but individual funds may add criteria involving major, GPA, need, service, or prior school. Review the listings and use the correct enrollment plan in your profile.
The platform uses one application across multiple scholarships. It requires five general essays of up to 300 words, an unofficial transcript with finalized fall 2026 grades, and at least one academic or professional reference; applicants may submit before the reference arrives, which is due February 5. The early-March deadline is still approximate, so check the closing time when the foundation posts the final calendar. The scholarship contact and campus workshops can answer questions about accounts, transfer plans, and transcripts.
Recipients must confirm enrollment and follow acceptance instructions so funds can be applied to 2027–28. Transfer students need to coordinate payment with the destination institution. Keep the award letter and ask MPC what happens if plans change or the scholarship combines with FAFSA, Cal Grant, or other campus aid.
Confirm the academic year, applicant group, local deadline and time, and documents others must submit. Keep copies and confirmations. Ask your school’s financial-aid office how the scholarship coordinates with FAFSA, grants, and other support.
Read the aid-program profile and the FAFSA guide; verify with the institution how funding is coordinated.
