Indy Achieves is local support for Marion County students at IU Indianapolis, not all Indiana residents. It supplements existing aid and fills part of the eligible tuition/fee balance. The IU Indianapolis profile explains automatic consideration and coaching.
Students receiving state aid such as 21st Century Scholars or the Frank O’Bannon Grant are considered. Review takes place with admission; there is no separate Indy Achieves application. Complete FAFSA and requirements for the underlying state award so the campus can determine eligibility.
The amount depends on other aid and the remaining balance; there is no universal figure. Review your award package and ask which charges are included. Do not assume housing, food, books, or transportation are covered, and request an individual estimate before registering.
Renewal requires FAFSA by April 15, state-aid eligibility, 30 completed credits each year, and SAP. IU Indianapolis uses code 001813. Submit documents early and check portal messages for missing verification.
